Morwell Bowls Club

Tequa had the pleasure of working alongside Farnham Developments to construct a grand extension to the Morwell Bowling Club. The project presented numerous challenges due to the existing infrastructure in place, but our team was able to overcome each obstacle. We installed new below-ground sanitary drainage to all necessary discharge locations, connecting it to the existing sewer system, which also required us to divert sections of the existing line. To ensure safety, we installed a 3000-litre grease interceptor and upgraded the gas supply pipework from the meter to extend it to the new kitchen and hot water units. Further, our team extended the existing civil drainage system to enable the expansion of the car park and installed a new fire service, below-ground boring/trenching, and suspended systems. We provided a new potable cold and hot water system, which circulated at a high level to supply all bathrooms and kitchens. To improve the building's overall aesthetic, we used KlipLok profile colorbond for the roof and Lysaght Zenith cladding at a 65-degree angle on the walls. We covered the extension walkway and players' greens area with Danpalon honeycomb roof cladding, protecting from the elements. For sustainability, we collected rainwater from the roof catchment area and transferred it to eight Colorbond tanks, offering reuse for flushing toilets, garden taps, and irrigation pipes. We also installed top-quality sanitary fixtures and equipment complimenting the overall pleasing aesthetics of the build.

We are thrilled that our team overcame such challenges as limited access during cladding work and upgrading the gas line without disrupting the regular operations of such an important facility in the Morwell community. It was a great project to work on, and we're very proud of its successful completion.
